Last season we did our weekly rookie quarterback tracker, but with only one taken in the first round of 2022, we’ve moved onto another highly coveted position. For 2022 we’ll keep track of all six first-round wide receivers and their progress throughout the year. Some of our first-round rookies are already off to the races and contributing heavily to their teams. Let’s check out this year’s group of rookie first-rounders. Inactive. Jameson Williams – Lions out with torn ACL source: Getty Images Although Williams can officially practice with the team now, he hasn’t been cleared yet. Lions head coach Dan Campbell says Williams is improving but is still “several weeks away” from participation in practice. The No. 12 overall pick is running again but still has a ways to go before debuting. Inactive. Treylon Burks – Titans out foot injury source: Getty Images Tennessee placed rookie Treylon Burks on injured reserve last week, so we won’t be seeing this rookie in action for a while. Burks left the Titans’ Week 4 victory against the Colts in the fourth quarter after suffering a foot injury. So, the team decided to shut him down, which means he’ll be unavailable for at least four weeks from the time of injury. Inactive. Jahan Dotson – Commanders out tweaked hamstring source: Getty Images This week, Jahan Dotson was inactive (hamstring injury) again, missing his second consecutive game. Through four games, he’d already become one of Carson Wentz’s favorite targets catching four TDs in those games, which tied him for the league lead entering week 5. Hamstring injuries can be difficult to gauge, so we’ll keep a close eye on how long this keeps him out of the lineup. Dotson proved early on that he’s a player that knows how to find the end zone. There is no timetable yet for his return. Inactive. Chris Olave – Saints out with a concussion source: Getty Images Another injury to the rookie wide receiver pool, Olave suffered a concussion in Week 5 and was missing in action for the Saints’ Week 6 loss to the Bengals. Olave’s had a decent rookie year leading up to the injury with 25 catches in five games and already becoming a pretty significant part of the passing attack for New Orleans. Since the Tua Tagovailoa head injury incident a few weeks ago, there’s been a renewed emphasis on these injuries, so it’s unclear how long Olave will be sidelined. 2. Garrett Wilson – Jets source: Getty Images Life probably hasn’t been too much fun for Wilson over the last three weeks, even though the Jets are 3-0 in that time since quarterback Zach Wilson returned to the lineup. In those three games, the receiving end of the Wilson-to-Wilson connection has six receptions for 76 yards. In those first three games where Joe Flacco led the team, Wilson caught 18 passes for 214 yards and TDs. Surely, the rookie wideout enjoys playing for a winning team, but he’d probably like to see the ball a little more often. With the Jets improving to 4-2 after dominating Green Bay, it doesn’t look like the game plan will change anytime soon. This Jets team runs the ball well and plays good defense. Those two aspects of the game travel well and work for this team as they did at Lambeau Field. 1. Drake London – Falcons source: Getty Images The Atlanta Falcons are a much better team than projected coming into the season, although that hasn’t always equaled big receiving games from Drake London. In the Falcons’ last four games, London has had 12 catches for 146 yards and a TD. In his first two games of the season, London caught 19 balls for 160 yards and a TD. London had only three catches on four targets for 40 yards in their 28-14 win over the 49ers in Week 6. London’s overall production has clearly slipped, but that may not be entirely his fault. Even with the weapons Atlanta has at its disposal, this isn’t a high-volume passing attack. In the season opener against New Orleans, Marcus Mariota passed 33 times in a one-point loss to the Saints. Since that game, Mariota hasn’t been asked to throw the ball more than 26 times and has attempted 20 or fewer passes in three of those games. The Falcons are 3-2 since that Week 1 loss against the Saints. Atlanta seems to have found a formula that works for them, but it probably won’t do much for London’s bid at rookie of the year.

According to a recent report from Sky Sports Italia, Christian Eriksen is ready to get down to the nitty gritty details of his personal terms ahead of a potential move to Inter Milan later on this week. The belief is that he will be leaving North London for a fee of around €16 million, which many will probably see as a bargain given the potential that he has shown across his many years with Tottenham Hotspur.
Inter have made it clear that Eriksen is one of their primary targets, especially after it became clear that Real Madrid wouldn’t be pursuing him in the same manner as they have been doing across the last few years.
Eriksen’s future with Spurs has looked questionable for longer than most of us can remember, and now, it finally looks like we’re getting c…
Alan Browne, Kevin Long and James Collins all scored their first international goals as Republic of Ireland eased to a 3-1 friendly win over Bulgaria.
In a match where all the goals came in the second half, Browne put Ireland ahead when he slotted into an empty net after Ronan Curtis initial shot was spilled.
Bulgaria equalised through Ivelin Popov s spot-kick after John Egan, who captained Ireland for the first time, gave away a penalty.
But a Long header and a close-range finish from Collins gave the hosts a comfortable victory in Dublin.
The result means Ireland remain unbeaten in Mick McCarthy s second stint as manager.

Leicester City claimed a slice of Premier League history when they crushed an abject Southampton 9-0 at St Mary s on Friday.
Ryan Bertrand s red card for a challenge in the build-up to Ben Chilwell s 10th-minute opener put Ralph Hasenhuttl s Saints at a disadvantage, but the collapse that followed was humiliating.
Ayoze Perez and Jamie Vardy both netted hat-tricks, with Youri Tielemans and James Maddison also getting in on the act as Brendan Rodgers Foxes ran riot.
Here, with some help from Opta, we look some of the remarkable statistics thrown up on a stormy English night when it rained goals.

Thomas Tuchel insisted Chelsea are trying their very best to tie the impressive Antonio Rudiger to a new contract, while also hailing the evergreen Thiago Silva.
Rudiger joined from Roma in July 2017 and has been an integral part of the Blues backline under Tuchel, starting the most games since the German s arrival last January (50) and ranking first for minutes played (4,575).
However, the centre-back s contract is due to expire at the end of the season, with clubs now able to negotiate with the 28-year-old should he not agree on negotiations with Chelsea.
A host of Europe s elite clubs, including Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, have been linked with the defender but Tuchel remains hopeful his international compatriot will commit his future to the Champions Lea…
Italy boss Roberto Mancini handed first call-ups to Atalanta captain Rafael Toloi and Spezia midfielder Matteo Ricci as he selected a 38-man squad for the three upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
Brazilian-born Toloi has been residing in Italy since leaving Sao Paulo to join Atalanta in 2015 and has received the citizenship that makes him eligible to represent the Azzurri.
The 30-year-old has been summoned at the first opportunity by head coach Mancini, who has observed the centre-back as a prominent member of the Atalanta team that has caught the eye in Serie A and the Champions League.
Ricci, 26, joined Spezia from Roma in July 2018 and helped the team win promotion to Serie A last season.

The last time Cristiano Ronaldo played at Old Trafford, Manchester United abandoned tradition.
In every home game, certainly in the last decade, United and opposition players have walked out of the tunnel in the corner of the Stretford End to the sound of music, usually This Is The One by The Stone Roses. The handshake formalities follow, as does the Champions League theme on those European nights. Then, stadium announcer Alan Keegan reads out the line-ups, always starting with the visitors .
Not so in March 2013. As the first 22 began to get into position, United s team was read out first, in the usual numerical order. Real Madrid s followed, starting from goalkeeper Diego Lopez and number two, Raphael Varane, until it jumped from six, Sami Khedira straight to 10, Mesut…

Denmark have progressed a lot as a team on the pitch in recent years and are now a force to be reckoned with, especially in European football. The Danes qualified for the 2022 Qatar World Cup amid huge expectations and hype, but they could not really make an impact at the tournament. Kasper Hjulmand s side drew with Tunisia, lost to France and went down to Australia and finished at the bottom of Group D and got knock…

After being appointed by Oldham Athletic, Paul Scholes becomes the latest former Manchester United star to have played under Alex Ferguson and gone on to become a manager.
Their record is mixed but the strong start made by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer since taking temporary charge at Old Trafford shows why Ferguson s old pupils continue to be in such strong demand.
Unlike former England team-mates Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard, Scholes has opted for a low-key start to life as a manager by taking charge of his boyhood club.
The list of Ferguson s former players to have stepped into the dugout is a long one but here are some of the biggest names to have tried their luck.

Real Madrid would be negligent if they failed to bring Sergio Ramos back to the club one day, according to former team-mate Toni Kroos.
The LaLiga giants announced last week that the long-serving centre-back is to leave the club after a remarkable 16-year spell in the Spanish capital.
Ramos won LaLiga five times with Madrid and helped Los Blancos to four Champions League titles, among an array of other major honours.
But the Spain international will start a new adventure next season after Madrid withdrew their offer of a one-year deal on reduced terms, as confirmed by the long-serving defender.
Kroos spent seven seasons playing in the same side as Ramos and believes the 35-year-old will return to the Santiago Bernabeu in the future.
